The story began in 2012, when the Smith family was packing for a vacation and brainstorming ideas of healthy snacks to bring. Chuck Smith, owner of TX 28 Beef Jerky, had the bright idea of making their own beef jerky. From then on, he continued tweaking the recipe every time he made it. Before they knew it, the recipe was completely different and without a doubt, their new favorite beef jerky!
